I wasn't sure if I could make it all the way to Everest Base Camp, especially after the second day when the altitude started to kick in. Our guide kept checking on everyone and never rushed us. Reaching Base Camp honestly felt unreal. Looking back at the photos still gives me goosebumps.

"I have trekked in the Himalayas multiple times but the Annapurna Circuit was on another level. The diversity of landscapes is incredible — from lush green rice paddies to barren high-altitude desert. Crossing the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters was challenging but the sense of achievement was overwhelming. The team at Nepal Lion Tours was professional and the porter service made the journey much more enjoyable. The natural hot springs at Tatopani after days of trekking was pure heaven. A must-do for any serious trekker."

"If you do not have the time or fitness for a multi-day trek, the Everest Helicopter Tour is an incredible alternative. We flew from Kathmandu early morning and landed at Kala Patthar for a close-up view of Everest that most trekkers spend weeks to reach. The breakfast at Everest View Hotel with the Himalayan panorama stretching before you was unforgettable. The pilot was experienced and made the flight smooth and comfortable. Nepal Lion Tours organized everything from permits to hotel pickup. A once-in-a-lifetime experience."

"The Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Lion Tours was the highlight of my life. From the moment I landed in Lukla, every detail was taken care of. Our guide Pemba was incredibly knowledgeable about Sherpa culture and kept us motivated during the tough ascent to Kala Patthar. Watching the sunrise over Everest from the top was a moment I will never forget. The teahouses were comfortable and the food was surprisingly good at such high altitudes. I highly recommend this trek to anyone who wants to experience the magic of the Himalayas."

"We walked the Gokyo route instead of the usual Everest Base Camp trail and it was the best decision of the whole trip. Climbing Gokyo Ri before dawn and suddenly seeing Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu lined up together is something I will talk about for years. The lakes themselves are that impossible turquoise colour that photographs never quite capture. You walk past far fewer people than on the main route, and our guide kept a genuinely relaxed pace. The tea in Gokyo village overlooking the lake is worth every step."

"Langtang was my first Himalayan trek and I could not have asked for a gentler introduction. Being only a few hours from Kathmandu yet feeling completely removed from the city, the valley has its own quiet rhythm. Our guide Dawa was patient, funny and endlessly curious about the Tamang villages we passed through. The walk up to Kyanjin Gompa and the cheese factory was a lovely surprise, and the view from Tserko Ri is the real reward. Eleven days of oak and rhododendron forest, then straight into the high peaks."

"Manaslu is the trek people tell you about once you have done the Annapurna Circuit, and they are right. For most of the route we would not see more than a handful of people a day, which makes the whole thing feel genuinely wild. The Larkya La crossing at 5,160 metres was the hardest day of my life and the descent into the Budhi Gandaki gorge afterwards was the most beautiful. Sorting out the restricted area permit was the one bit of admin involved and Nepal Lion Tours handled every part of it."

"Mardi Himal is Nepal's best-kept secret. While everyone flocks to the popular trails, this hidden gem offers solitude and some of the most dramatic mountain views I have ever seen. The ridge walk with Annapurna South and Machapuchare towering above you is surreal. We barely saw other trekkers for the entire trek. The sunrise from Mardi Himal base camp was pure magic — golden light painting the snow-capped peaks while clouds filled the valley below. Nepal Lion Tours recommended this trek when I told them I wanted something off the beaten path, and it was the best advice anyone has ever given me."

"The Annapurna Sanctuary feels like walking into a natural amphitheatre. Machapuchare, Annapurna South and Annapurna North rise on every side and the clouds moving through the valley below kept me stopping constantly just to take it in. Tengboche Monastery in the morning was especially beautiful, with the prayer flags snapping in the wind and the mountains right behind it. Our guide made a real effort to explain what we were walking past rather than just pointing at it. Photographs never do the scale justice, you simply have to go and stand there."

"I took the classic route to Everest Base Camp and it deserves all the hype. Namche Bazaar is a village in its own right, and then the trail keeps climbing through Tengboche and Dingboche with the valley opening out below you the whole way. Standing at Kala Patthar at 5,545 metres watching the sun come up over the south face was worth every one of the twelve days that came before it. The teahouses were basic but warm, the food was better than I expected, and our guide kept everyone safe without ever making the days feel rushed."
